Leading makes of car seat, e.g. Britax Rock-a-Tot, Maxi-Cosi City or Maxi-Cosi Cabrio, can be attached to your Mountain Buggy with the Car Seat Adaptor.

The adaptor creates a small sling seat on the pushchair like the base of a car seat. The baby car seat is then strapped down in the same way that the lap belt on a car would secure it.

There is no requirement for the car seat and the adaptor to have compatible fittings or mouldings like on a pushchair travel system - making it pretty much universal.

Health professionals recommend that the length of time a baby is in a car seat is kept to a minimum. Car Seats are ideal in the event of an accident but not an ideal position for healthy development if used for prolonged periods
