The swivel front wheel gives superb manoeuvrability and is designed primarily for use around town. It is possible to 'lock' the front wheel to limit the swivel and this can be useful on very rough ground. Fabrics Strong, lightweight, washable fabrics which easily detach from the frame.The seat should be washed in cold water on the delicate cycle of your washing machine and attached back onto the stroller to dry. Wheels The 300mm (12") pneumatic wheels with double steel bearings are free running and more importantly give a smooth ride. Heavy Duty inner tubes fitted as standard. The Quick Release Wheels (front and rear) are not fiddly to mount or dismount - less than 5 seconds per wheel ! Adjustable Handle The Baby Jogger Double City Elite accomodates tall or short with a comfort grip, positive locking action and minimal joint flex. A fabric 'parent console' is fitted in front of the handle - multiple storage compartments to hold those things you would like to have immediately to hand. Seat The Baby Jogger seat angle is easily adjustable with one hand reclining to almost flat. It is suitable for use from birth. The seat base and back are padded providing both cushioning and insulation from underseat cooling. The seat is slightly deeper than the average pushchair seat and the ability to raise the 'kicker' (the section between the seat and the footplate) is especially valuable for a smaller baby. Basket The basket is adequate although oddly it can be accessed from either side or even the front but not from the rear.
