Maintenance
There's not a great deal of maintenance required on your Mountain Buggy.
Fabrics
The outdoor canvas material used on the pushchair can be hand washed in a mild soap solution (not detergent). Do not tumble dry it but on an average day it dries very quickly.
Frame
It isn't necessary to keep the frame spotlessly clean, although:
salt water (sea water) must be hosed off as it can be corrosive to any steel parts, bearings etc.
excessive dirt or sand in the folding mechanism, or brake may make their operation more difficult
If the pushchair will be used daily in a high corrosion environment, e.g. you live by the seaside, then applying a protective lubricant/coating to steel parts - axles, bearings etc, can be of help. Use WD40, Silicone Spray or even Vaseline.
Wheels
Occasionally wash dirt and especially salt water off the axle and bearings to avoid corrosion.
Check tyres for thorns - but it probably isn't a good idea to pull any out while you are on a walk as they may be stopping the air from coming out !
The tyres are intended for inflation to low pressure only, about 10-15lbs. Do not over-inflate as it increases the chances of punctures, blow outs or distorting the wheel - as well as making the ride less comfortable.
Punctures can be repaired just like a bicycle or replacment inner tubes obtained from us of a bicycle shop (its a child's first bicycle size). If you ever have a puncture repaired by a bicycle shop it is important to tell them the correct tyre inflation pressure of 15psi (otherwise they can put 30-40psi in which is what a bicycle would have), damage to wheels caused by over inflation is not covered by the warranty
