We have now had the opportunity to review the new 2010 Phil & Teds Mountain Buggy, we regret that we lack confidence in the new product and have therefore decided to discontinue it.
Based on the Mountain Buggy Urban pushchair which has received much acclaim over the years the Urban Jungle 2010 is the first Mountain Buggy production under the new ownership of Phil & Teds at their factory.
NOTE. The following text is based on what information we can glean from avalaible sources without actually seeing the product, any errors will be corrected before products are available for sale
There are few changes to the successful Mountain Buggy design, the Urban Jungle still has the:- The Quick Release Rear Wheels come in handy when you need extra space in the boot for going on holiday, although it will fit into the boot of a VW Golf hatch with the wheels on.
- Rear Suspension provides some shock absorption when say dropping down a kerb, although the the air-filled tyres and seat already provide a very smooth ride
- Retractable Rear Axles for more compact storage and transportation
- A padded fabric bottle holder is fitted in easy reach for you at the rear of the seat.
This high specification, swivel front wheel pushchair is designed for people who want the Mountain Buggy quality & style but walk more in the town than the countryside. The swivel front wheel makes the pushchair very manoeuvrable on smooth surfaces - 'turn on a sixpence', as they used to say.
It is possible to 'lock' the front wheel to limit the swivel and this can be useful on very rough ground but it is heavier to steer when locked and the off road performance is not ideal (this is not an all terrain pushchair).

You can use your Mountain Buggy Urban from birth for a new baby as the seat can be reclined to only 15 degrees above horizontal - almost flat. Alternatively you can fit a Carrycot which converts the pushchair into a pram for those first few important months when a baby should ideally lay flat, or fit a car seat
There are a few changes with the new model:- A Bumper Bar is always supplied with the pushchair
- A Storm cover is NOT supplied with the pushchair as standard...but if you pay for your pushchair with a Debit Card (not Credit Card) then we will give you one FREE !
- A Pump is NOT supplied with the pushchair...but we include one in most of our package deals
- The Sun Hood has a 'flickout sun visor'
- The front edge of the Sun Hood is a zip to which you can attach the new Mountain Buggy Sun Cover
- One year warranty for the original owner
